STATION OVERVIEW
A busy station in a central response area.
Station 5 is strategically located near Columbia’s northern corridor and the busy Highway 63/I-70 interchange. The station provides fire and EMS response for both residential neighborhoods and commercial developments. Its crews are often among the first on scene for highway incidents and major roadway accidents.
1974
Station 5 established
The station began from a hangar bay at the former Cottonwood’s Airport.
1982
New Station Built
A four-bay fire station was built as population grew around Columbia.

Station 5 houses several specialty response vehicles and supports high call volume.
