The Boone County Fire Protection District has grown to become the third largest fire department in Missouri. It operates 14 fire stations, a fleet of some 80 emergency vehicles and a volunteer staff in excess of 300 personnel.
Tremendous voter support over the past 30 years has enabled the organization to develop the assets necessary to extend a wide array of emergency services throughout the 532 square miles the Fire District is charged to protect.
The system depicted in this portion of the web site is very unique. It couples a solid physical plant with an incredible cadre of volunteer professionals totally dedicated to their community.
