Boone County Firefighters Respond to Serious Accident on Highway 63 and CC

Firefighters with the Boone County Fire District responded to a two vehicle extrication accident Saturday afternoon just before 1:00 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 63 and Highway CC. When Engine 601, located in Sturgeon arrived, they found two vehicles off the roadway with heavy damage to both vehicles. Firefighters began patient assessment on four victims, two from each vehicle. The driver of the red Chevy pickup, David Davidson 29 of Columbia, was flown by Staff for Life to University Hospital in serious condition and the passenger Aleck Alexander 20 of Sturgeon was transported with moderate injuries.
The two occupants of the black car, driver Clifford Richardson 84 and passenger Eva Richardson 82 both of Salisbury, MO, were transported by Boone Hospital Ambulance Service to University Hospital with moderate and serious injuries.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the 1993 Chevy pickup was traveling westbound attempting to cross Highway 63 when they were struck T-Bone by the southbound 2005 Jaguar. The impact caused both vehicles to travel off the roadway and into a field on the west side of the highway. Both vehicles sustained heavy damage. Both occupants of the Jaguar and the driver of the pickup were all wearing their seatbelts. It is unknown if the passenger in the pickup was wearing his seatbelt.
The Boone County Fire District responded with two firetrucks and 17 firefighters and was assisted by Boone Hospital Ambulance and Staff for Life.
